Dilip Asbe is the National Payments Corporation of India's chief Operational Officer (COO) and acting Managing Director and CEO (NPCI). He formerly served as the organization's Chief Technology Officer (CTO).Innovative large-scale payment processing technologies like the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM), and Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) and India's own card network, RuPay, were designed,built, operationalized, and managed by him. Mr. Asbe, the organization's firstemployee and a man with a passion for both technology and people, assisted inits expansion to over 1,000 personnel  Building platforms with a high capacity and assisting the country in its transition to a cashless society are only a few of the Mr. Asbe's accomplishments at NPCIWith the help of effective team mentoring, he is a powerful leader who has made sure that more than 1 billion transactions are processed each month. Throughout the last 20 years, he has maintained strong networks in Asia .Pacific Financial Services and Payment Eco-System He may be proud of significant accomplishments like establishing the infrastructure for Prizm Payments Services in India and for Euronet's global Asia Pacific area graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with honors Science (LSE) in London, United Kingdom, with a Master of Science (MSc)degree in Global Management (Executive Program).Asbe took over as MD&CEO of NPCI in January 2018.Prior to that, he was the company's chief operational officer for about 5 years. officer.   Before that, he was the chief technology officer.
