She consistently makes the list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. In 2014, she was positioned at number 13 on the Forbes rundown of The World's 100 Most Influential Ladies and was positioned the second most influential lady on the Fortune list in 2015 and 2017. She additionally serves on the sheets of Amazon and the Global Cricket Chamber. Nooyi was born in Madras, Tamil Nadu, India, on October 28, 1955, to a Tamil Brahmin family. Nooyi attended Holy Angels Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in T Nagar for her education.
In 1975, Nooyi graduated from the Madras Christian College of the University of Madras with bachelor's degrees in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. In 1976, he graduated from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta with a Post Graduate Programme Diploma.
Nooyi was accepted to Yale School of Management in 1978, and she moved to the United States in 1980 to complete her master's degree program in public and private management.
Nooyi started her career in India and worked as a product manager at Johnson & Johnson and the textile company Beardsell Ltd. While she was a student at Yale School of Management, she finished her summer internship at Booz Allen Hamilton. Nooyi started out working as a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 1980. After that, he worked for Motorola as vice president and Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning, then for Asea Brown Boveri.
