Initially, he traded noodles and other products made in and a round Taegu, Korea, sending them to China and its regions. To better compete in the textile sector, the company expanded its textile manufacturing methods during the 1970s to include the entire production chain, from raw materials to finished goods. In 1969, Samsung launched a number of subsidiaries specifically devoted to the electronics sector. Black-and-white televisions were one of their early offerings. Samsung had already established itself as a significant Korean manufacturer at the time and had purchased a 50%interest in Korea Semiconductor. After Lee Byung-Chull passed away in 1987, his son Lee Kun-Hee succeeded him. Samsung was divided into five firms; the electronics division remained under the direction of Lee Kun-Hee, while Lee Byung-other Chull's sons and daughters were in charge of the other four businesses. The Samsung Galaxy smartphone series was introduced in the 2000s, and it swiftly rose to prominence as one of the best-selling smartphone lines worldwide as well as one of the company's most lauded products.
