Nagavara Ramarao Narayana Murthy, also known as N. R. Narayana Murthy, is the founder of Infosys. He founded Infosys in 1946 and has served as its chairman since then  chairman, CEO, president, and chief mentor of the company before retiring and taking the title of chairman emeritus. He was born on August 20, 1986, in a small town. of Karnataka known as Shidlaghatta. He completed his graduation from the National Institute of Engineering in 1946 and got the degree of Electrical Engineering, and after completing his graduation, He did his master’s degree at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur in 1969.Before starting Infosys, Murthy worked at the Indian Institute of Management. Ahmedabad as chief systems programmer, and Patni Computer Systems in Pune, Maharashtra. He started Infosys in 1981 and became its CEO in 1981 to 2002, as well as the chairman from 2002 to 2011. In 2011, he stepped down from the board and became chairman emeritus. In June 2013, Murthy was appointed as the executive chairman for a period of five years. In the journey of his life, he is honored by many awards like Padma Vibhushan (2008), Legion of Honour (2008), Padma Shri (2000), and so on. This is only a selection of their major awards, but once Murthy has stated that every Individual awards have their own importance in a person's life. Under the leadership of N. R. Narayana Murthy, Infosys achieved a very better position in the world of IT and also add innovation in leadership training, software technology, quality, customer focus, satisfaction, and physical and technological infrastructure.
