On July 15, 1978, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the third of Sulom Prakash's four Asha Sharma, her mother, was born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He attended school in the little town of Harduaganj, which is close to Aligarh. He was a college prodigy who enrolled at the Delhi College of Engineering. (now Delhi Technological University) at the age of 15 and received his B.Tech. degree as an engineer at the age of 19. He founded the website indiasite.net in 1997 while still in college and sold it for US$1 million two years later. Three years later, in 2000, he founded One97. Communications, a company that provided mobile content such as news, cricket, scores, ringtones, jokes, and exam results. Paytm, a firm Sharma founded in 2010 that offers financial services and digital payments is owned by One97 Paytm's initial public offering in November 2021 raised $2.5 billion at a $19 billion valuation, making it the biggest company in India at the time. Sharma has backed tech firms as an angel investor. Sharma promotes clean air as the UN Environment's "Patron for Clean Air." environmental action and awareness while supporting the objectives of the organization's worldwide Breathe Life campaign. Vijay Shekhar Sharma is India's second-youngest billionaire, with $2.35 billion. wealth as per Forbes list of India's 100 richest people (2020). Once, Sharma used to earn around Rs 10,000 a month when he was 27 years old and based in Aligarh.
